Welcome to the show, kid.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Tyrell Goulbourne will make his NHL debut this afternoon against the Blues. He was recalled from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Wednesday, but missed his chance to make his debut on Thursday after his flight was delayed. He’ll be inserted into the lineup and make his NHL debut this afternoon.
Goulbourne scored six goals and added five assists for 11 points in 34 AHL games this season. He also has a +8 rating and has been a menace both drawing and killing penalties.
Goulbourne ended 2017 on a three-game point streak with the Phantoms, with five points over his last three games. He has been playing better this season and by all accounts close to the club, he’s earned the promotion.
He is expected to slot in on the fourth line this afternoon for Dale Weise.
