The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are moving on in the Calder Cup Playoffs thanks to a thrilling 4-3 clinching win over the Providence Bruins. Lead by the 49-save effort from Alex Lyon, the Phantoms were able to clinch the series, winning Game 4 at the PPL Center.
T.J. Brennan and Chris Conner combined for three goals in a dominant first period. But the Bruins battled back, none of which was Lyon’s fault, and sent the game to overtime. Maxim Lamarche became the hero and scored with 1:24 left in overtime, with Conner picking up his third point of the night on the assist, to send the Phantoms to the Second Round.
