The Philadelphia Flyers were looking for more momentum moving forward after an overtime win against the Hurricanes. They took it to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday evening with a 5-3 win. Claude Giroux and Shayne Gostisbehere picked up three-point nights, adding to their bounce-back campaigns. Travis Konecny continued his strong stretch of confident dominance in the offensive zone with two goals, including a very aggressive play to get behind Carey Price and tap home a loose puck.
Jake Voracek continued his offensive outburst with a beautiful bar-down snipe. Voracek is still among the top-five in the NHL in scoring and is keeping pace with big plays night after night. Brian Elliott was stellar again in net and helped the Flyers with huge saves on shorthanded attempts and big glove saves in the third period.
