The Philadelphia Flyers improved their playoff percentage to over 99 percent with a thrilling overtime win against the Boston Bruins Sunday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center.
Travis Konecny dazzled with an outstanding goal to get around three defenders, including Patrice Bergeron, and found the back on the net. Nolan Patrick got a great saurcer pass from Oskar Lindblom and put on a beautiful move to add to the lead. Claude Giroux scored twice, including the overtime game-winner, to set a new career high in points and goals. He is now just five points away from reaching 100 for the season. Petr Mrazek was outstanding in net for the Flyers in this one, which is a good sign heading into the final week of the season.
The magic number is now down to three points with three games remaining. Never a doubt, folks. Never a doubt.
