The Philadelphia Flyers ended their four-game season-opening road trip on Tuesday night in Nashville. The game had some positive points throughout, but a late-game decision by Dave Hakstol that ultimately resulted in a loss overshadowed those aspects.
It was a controversial decision that left fans, analysts, and players frustrated after the game. And for good reason. At least one point, possibly two, slipped out of their fingers. However, on the whole the road trip was a successful one with four points in four games, including three home openers.
On this episode of SOP Radio David Cattai, Ryan Gilbert, and Tom Foti break down Dave Hakstol’s controversial challenge in a tough loss to Nashville, Sam Morin’s status on the roster, give our impressions on the team’s start to the season, and much more.
