What a goal from Olle Lycksell.
Philadelphia Flyers forward prospect has been loaned down a league for two games. He’ll be playingwith Oskarshamn in the Allsvenskan this week. The first game came on Tuesday, and he showed off his moves in a 5-4 shootout win. Lycksell picked up an assist, and also scored twice in the shootout to clinch the 5-4 win for his side.
Lycksell picked up a primary assist late in the first period on his team’s first goal, cutting into a 2-0 deficit. He was then held off the scoresheet until the shootout, when he scored twice in two tries to win the game.
His second shootout goal was the game-winner, and it was a thing of beauty.
A great celly by the youngster.
But let’s look at that goal again. What a move.
It’s even more impressive in slow motion.
The Flyers grabbed Lycksell in the sixth round of this year’s draft. He’s a Swedish forward that needs a few years to mature, but he’s showing flashes of brilliance in the SHL and Allsvenskan.
Lycksell has two goals in the SHL this season, and showed what he can do against his peers on Tuesday.
