Morgan Frost is on fire. Again.
Frost scored two goals and was named the third star of the game in Sault Ste. Marie’s 4-3 win against the Niagara IceDogs. He opened the scoring late in the first period and made it a 3-0 game late in the second period before Niagara staged a bit of a comeback.
Frost extended his point streak to eight games last night. He has 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in those eight games.
His first goal was the result of just going to the net.
Rasmus Sandin did all the hard work with some nice moves through the zone, then Frost tapped it home.
His second goal came on the power play, and it was a blast.
What a shot by Frost.
The goalie had no chance.
Frost now has 87 points on the season to lead the OHL, extending his lead over second place to five points. He is also now in sole possession of fifth place in goals with 32 on the season.
He has points in 28 of his last 29 games with 59 points (21 goals, 38 points) in that span.
Frost is having a fantastic season and it’s only getting better.
