We’re in the dog days of summer, but some Philadelphia Flyers prospects are in action.
Top prospect Joel Farabee as well as 2019 first-round pick Cam York and second-round pick Bobby Brink all impressed in Team USA’s 7-1 win against Finland at the 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase.
Farabee scored two goals, while York notched a goal of his own and Brink added an assist on York’s goal.
Farabee’s first goal was a thing of beauty. He made a nifty move around a defender and then went five-hole on the goalie.
He added a backhand snipe while shorthanded later in the game.

Then it was time for the 2019 draft picks to shine.
York took a pass at the point, walked in and wired a shot past the goalie to give Team USA a 3-1 lead.

No wonder he broke some records as a defenseman for the USNTDP.
As Farabee continues to impress at every level, you have to think his chances of making the Flyers out of camp are rising. It’s also great to see York and Brink in action.
The door is open for Farabee, as well as Morgan Frost, to make the Flyers roster out of training camp as Chuck Fletcher is focusing on the Flyers’ young players after an uneventful free agency.
