Joel Farabee and Mikhail Vorobyev called up by Flyers; Carsen Twarynski loaned to Phantoms

Chuck Fletcher did it.

The Philadelphia Flyers  called up top prospect Joel Farabee, along with Mikhail Vorobyev, on Sunday night. In a corresponding move, they loaned Carsen Twarynski to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the AHL.

This comes just two days after they loaned Connor Bunnaman to the Phantoms.

Farabee was the last forward cut during training camp and impressed in his professional debut with the Phantoms. He scored a beautiful goal in his first game and scored in each of his two contests after that as well.

Farabee had three goals and an assist in four games with the Phantoms.

Vorobyev has had a strong start to the season as well with four points (two goals, two assists) in five games this season. He had two points in 15 NHL games last season.

It’s a tough break for Twarynski, who didn’t play poorly through six games.

The Flyers will return to action on Monday night against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Both Farabee and Vorobyev will be available for Monday’s game. It will be a much-needed boost for the Flyers, who have gone 0-3-1 since starting the season with two wins.

  1. I think it is something that should be done with a team such as this that appears so listless. Players need to be held accountable and this should only be the beginning of changes on the Flyer’s roster if they keep playing such a boring brand of hockey….very little scoring, shoddy defense, and what is happening to Carter Hart?

What do you think?
