Oh no. Let’s hope this isn’t a Samson-like story for Jake Voracek and the Philadelphia Flyers. After the veteran forward recorded three assists in the team’s 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Monday, Voracek appeared to have shaved his beard, according to Sam Carchidi.

Not much was made of the change, especially without photo evidence. But on Wednesday during the team’s pregame skate, Voracek appeared with a bare face, looking like he did when the Flyers first acquired him.

Here’s another look at no. 93 without the beard.
Voracek currently leads the team with 33 points. His 26 assists are good for third-best in the entire league, just behind Steven Stamkos (27) and Blake Wheeler (29) for the NHL lead. He’s currently tied for ninth-most points in the league with former-Flyer Brayden Schenn. Puck drop is set for 9:30 p.m. in Edmonton.
