The big man can play.
Philadelphia Flyers 2nd round pick Isaac Ratcliffe hasn’t had impressive raw stats yet this season, but the goals he’s been scoring recently have been pretty nice. He showed off his hands in close last weekend, and had another highlight-reel goal on Saturday night.
Ratcliffe collected the puck in the defensive zone and started a rush. He weaved through the neutral zone, banked the puck off the boards to himself, then sniped a short-side goal.
A fantastic shot by the big man.
That goal came early in the second period, and he added a primary power-play assist later in the period.
Ratcliffe had multiple points in both games this weekend, with a goal and two assists on Friday and then two points last night. He is now on a four-game goal streak as well.
Ratcliffe started off slow, but is back up to near a point per game with 21 points (12 goals, nine assists) in 23 games.
The Flyers aren’t doing so well right now, but their prospects are putting on a show in juniors.
