The Philadelphia Flyers came home looking to do something after losing back-to-back games, but it wasn’t meant to be. Travis Konecny had a hell of a game though, scoring two goals and just generally stirring stuff up all game long.
Roman Lyubimov was back in the lineup after being healthy scratched for a stretch.
Claude Giroux was ready to go before the game.
As was Jordan Weal.
Matt Read got physical early on.
And the Flyers had a few early chances, but Bob had the answers.
Columbus quickly made it a 2-0 game.
First, a snipe from Former Flyer Sam Gagner.
And then a 2-on-0 to make it 2-0.
But the Flyers got one back a little bit later.
Sean Couturier and Shayne Gostisbehere picked up assists on Travis Konecny’s goal.
What a shot!
There were some questionable calls late in the period, and the Flyers weren’t having it.
The Flyers trailed 2-1 after one period of play.
The Flyers got a bit lucky as the post saved them here.
Then the Flyers heated up. Brayden Schenn put home a goal on the power play to tie it up!
What a schnipe!
Schenn was relieved.
Travis Konecny got high-sticked…
…but he’ll still chirp you.
Konecny will dance around you and snipe one, too.
Celly hard, kid.
Unfortunately Columbus tied it back up at three with a shot from the point that Mason was screened on.
Konecny got a third puck into the back of the net, but it was already dislodged.
He then got jumped after the whistle by Josh Anderson, and got a power play out of it.
He even avoided a spear from Seth Jones.
What a warrior.
The teams were tied at three as they headed to the third period.
Travis Konecny went off for roughing midway through the third period.
And Brandon Dubinsky capitalized.
TK couldn’t believe it.
