The Philadelphia Flyers were looking to continue their winning ways and flip the script at home against the Arizona Coyotes.
Claude Giroux was all smiles before the game.
He then assisted on the opening goal of the game, playing give-and-go with Travis Konecny.
What a sequence.
Scott Laughton then got on the board with a spin-o-rama backhand in front.
Look at that determination and finish!
But Arizona would battle back and tie things up with goals.
Santa Gritty made an appearance to draw our attention away.
Then the Coyotes scored back-to-back shorthanded goals. This one was brutal.
And this was even worse.
Brian Elliott replaced Calvin Pickard in net.
Then the battling back began. Laughton got the Flyers within a goal a backhand through traffic.
Look at that face!
Then Dale Weise tied things up with two minutes left.
No, really, Weise tied it.
Shortly in the overtime period, Shayne Gostisbehere sent the fans home happy with a blast off a pass from Jake Voracek.
A Ghostly game-winner!
We are everyone on the bench.
BIG TIME MOOD
The Flyers are now 4-0-1 in their last five games and are finding a groove, even if it isn’t pretty. They return to action on Saturday afternoon.
