It’s been a fun season.
The Philadelphia Flyers extended the series to six games, and battled hard on Sunday afternoon, but ultimately dropped an 8-5 decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It was a career game for Sean Couturier, who had a hat trick and five points total, and the game was a lot closer than the score showed. The Flyers lost Game 6, 8-5, to lose the series in six games.
Let’s get to it.

And the Penguins got it right back after a turnover.
Conor Sheary and Travis Konecny picked up matching minors.
Sheary, however, didn’t remember hitting Konecny while he was down.

But the Flyers couldn’t convert on a 4-on-3 power play.
Then the wheels fell off.
Letang tripped Couturier and Guentzel scored moments later.
There was no call on this trip.
And Guentzel scored moments later for his 4th of the game and a 7-4 lead.
The Flyers pulled their goalie, and Couturier completed the hat trick.
