The Philadelphia Flyers are good again!
After a 6-4 win on Thursday night, the Flyers continued their homestand with another big win on Saturday afternoon. They scored four goals in the first two periods en route to a 6-2 win.
Let’s get to it.
Brayden Schenn was making his return to Philadelphia, but was a bit lost.
Tyrell Goulbourne was ready to go in his NHL debut.
Goulbourne made his presence felt on his first shift. He put a big hit on Alex Pietrangelo and Scott Laughton capitalized with a snipe.
What a hit, and a shot!
One more time for good measure.
They were just getting started.
Just like he drew it up.
The Flyers led 2-0 after one period of play.
They kept it going in the second.
A Weally good finish!
He appreciated the setup.
Ivan Provorov is so smooth.
Giroux found himself on a 2-on-1 again after a pass from Konecny, and this time the pass connected for Sean Couturier’s 20th goal.
A great setup by Konecny and Giroux.
The Flyers led 4-1 after two periods of play.
The Blues quickly made it a 4-2 game just 12 seconds into the period.
But the Flyers got it back on the power play.
Just the tip.
The Flyers hung on to win 6-3 thanks to an empty-net goal from Sean Couturier!
