On the one hand, both players appeared to have injuries to their head. On the other, at least they haven’t ruled them out for more than a few days, so the worst case scenario appears to have been avoided.
Steve Mason will likely start Saturday anyway, but an injury to Couturier could force Vincent Lecavalier into the lineup for the first time this season while giving Scott Laughton a larger role.
The Flyers are off tomorrow before hosting the New York Rangers on Saturday night.
