The Philadelphia Flyers and General Manager Ron Hextall have done a great job these past few years to transition an aging, stagnant team into an up and coming force. The Flyers are looking to build through the draft, and they will have plenty of opportunity to do that once again this season.
The Flyers currently have 10 picks in the 2016 NHL Draft, with a possibilty of getting an 11th depending on which condition the Arizona Coyotes choose (2016 4th rounder or 2017 3rd rounder) from the trade last offseason. Five of their 10 picks are in the first three rounds, including three in the first 52 picks (18, 48, 52).
