The Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Wayne Simmonds to the Nashville Predators. In return, they have acquired forward Ryan Hartman and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2020. The fourth-round pick will become a third-round pick if the Predators win a playoff round this year.

Simmonds is an unrestricted free agent after this season and was rumored to be available at the deadline for a while. Given the course the Flyers were taking this season, it was no surprise that he was traded.
Wayne Simmonds will always be a Philadelphia Flyer at heart. He played 584 games in orange and black, scoring 203 goals and adding 175 assists for 378 points. He ended his Flyers career in fitting fashion, with a physical game in a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stadium Series on Saturday night.
Ryan Hartman is a 24-year-old forward. He recorded 57 points (27 goals, 30 assists) in 141 games with the Blackhawks before being traded to Nashville last season. He compiled 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists) in 85 games with the Predators.
Thanks for everything, Simmer. Go win a Cup in Nashville.
