What a year it’s been for Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Greg Carey. His 26 goals are currently second in the entire AHL and his 43 points are among the best on the team. On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Ron Hextall rewarded the forward with a contract extension.
Carey, 26, is currently in the midst of his fourth season of professional hockey and has recorded 43 points in 57 games with the Phantoms. He has reached career highs with 43 points, 26 goals, and 17 assists this season, matching his total from last year with the Springfield Falcons.
