The Philadelphia Flyers are coming into the home stretch, and their prospects are as well. The NCAA regular season is over, and the CHL is winding down.
Let’s check in on the Flyers prospects, including Morgan Frost extending his point streak with a gorgeous goal, German Rubtsov and Pascal Laberge staying hot in the QMJHL, Carsen Twarynski earning himself a contract, and more.
Cooper Marody (Center, Michigan)
2016 6th round pick (158th overall)
Cooper Marody came up huge for Michigan this weekend in the Big Ten Semifinal.
Marody scored both goals for Michigan to tie the game at one with a great effort and then again at two with a nice goal to force the game into overtime. But it wouldn’t be enough as Michigan ultimately fell to Ohio State in the win-or-go-home game.
Marody ends the season tied for seventh in the NCAA with 46 points and tied for third with 32 assists. Michigan still has a chance in the NCAA Tournament.

Tanner Laczynski (Center, Ohio State)
2016 6th round pick (169th overall)
Tanner Laczynski went head-to-head with Marody and came out on top.
Laczynski assisted on the overtime goal for Ohio State to beat Michigan on Saturday night.
Laczynski and Ohio State will now play no. 1 seeded Notre Dame in the Championship Game this Saturday night.

Terrance Amorosa (Defenseman, Clarkson University)

Amorosa ended his senior season with career-highs in goals (six), assists (19), and points (25)

Wyatt Kalynuk (Defenseman, Wisconsin)
2017 7th round pick (196th overall)
Season total: 37 games, 3 goals, 22 assists, 25 points
Morgan Frost (Center, Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds)
2017 1st round pick (27th overall)
Morgan Frost is back on fire.
He had an assist on Thursday night, two assists on Friday night, then went end-to-end for an incredible goal in a two-goal game on Sunday.
Frost is now on an 11-game point streak with eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points during that span. He has points in 20 of his last 21 games (13 goals, 23 assists for 36 points) and points in 40 of his last 42 games (29 goals, 50 assists for 79 points)
Frost is now second in the OHL with 107 points, tied for fifth in goals with 40, and is second in assists with 67. He leads the league in plus-minus with a +68 rating.

Matthew Strome (Left Wing, Hamilton Bulldogs)

Matthew Strome has been having an up-and-down month.
He was held pointless on Wednesday night, but scored twice on Saturday and added an assist on Sunday for a three-point week in three games.
Strome is tied for 29th in the OHL in points, and tied for 10th in goals.

Isaac Ratcliffe (Left Wing, Guelph Storm)

Isaac Ratcliffe continued his solid March.

Anthony Salinitri (Left Wing, Sarnia Sting)

Anthony Salinitri only played in one game this weekend.

Maksim Sushko (Right Wing, Owen Sound Attack)

Maksim Sushko had a decent weekend.
He picked up an assist on Thursday, scored a goal on Saturday night, then scored the lone goal in the shootout on Sunday.

Connor Bunnaman (Center, Kitchener Rangers)

Connor Bunnaman cooled back off his week.
He scored a goal on Tuesday to extend his point streak to seven games, but was then held pointless on Friday and Sunday.

German Rubtsov (Center/Left Wing, Acadie-Bathurst Titan)

German Rubtsov is on fire.
He picked up two assists on Friday night and scored a goal on Saturday to extend his point streak to five games.
Rubtsov has two goals and five assists for seven points during his five-game point streak. He had seven points in his previous 12 games total.

Season total: 46 games, 15 goals, 28 assists, 43 points
Pascal Laberge (Forward, Quebec Remparts)
2016 2nd round pick (36th overall)
Pascal Laberge is on fire as well.
He extended his point streak to eight games with two assists on Thursday, then a goal and an assist on Friday.
He has five goals and eight assists for 13 points during his eight-game point streak. He had 13 points in his previous 19 games total.
Laberge now has 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) with Quebec in 30 games.

Season total: 61 games, 17 goals, 29 assists, 46 points
Carsen Twarynski (Forward, Kelowna Rockets)
2016 3rd round pick (82nd overall)
Carsen Twarynski had a fantastic week.
The Flyers signed him to an entry-level contract on Sunday, rewarding him for his hard work this season.
He scored twice on Wednesday, once on Friday, then added an assist on Saturday for a four-point weekend to extend his point streak to six games.
Twarynski has points in nine of his last 10 games.

Season total: 66 games, 43 goals, 27 assists, 70 points
Carter Hart (Goalie, Everett Silvertips)
2016 2nd round pick (48th overall)
Carter Hart had another great weekend.
Hart allowed just two goals in each game this weekend, making 33 and 29 saves respectively, but only came away with one win.
The Silvertips took down Seattle, 3-2, on Saturday night, but couldn’t score in a 2-0 loss on Sunday in Portland. It was a rare regulation loss for Hart.
Hart still leads the league in goals against average (1.55) by over a goal (2.72), and save percentage (.950) by nearly 40 points (.913).
Last week: 1-1-0-0, 62 saves on 66 shots (.939 SV%), 2.03 GAA
Season total: 29-5-1-3, 1115 saves on 1174 shots (.950 SV%), 1.55 GAA, 7 SO
