The Philadelphia Flyers bounced back from a tough loss on Tuesday to the Penguins with some energy, some high-power offense, and a lot of emotion against the New York Islanders. Sean Couturier powered the way with a Gordie Howe Hat Trick, Ivan Provorov was a Michael Raffl tip away from a hat trick of his own, and the Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek combo continued to dominate by dishing out assists all night long.
Following the big win, we talked about a ton of topics, including energy on the way in the form of Tyrell Goulbourne, prospects tearing it up at World Juniors, dominance once again from the team’s top players, and more.
The SOP Radio crew of Ryan Gilbert, Tom Foti and David Cattai react to the Flyers’ exciting win against the Islanders, discuss their recent stretch of up-and-down play, analyze the “winning vs. development” debate, take a look at the bigger picture, and much more.
