The Philadelphia Flyers are on a roll. They’ve scored 12 goals over their last two games and have gotten two big wins in the process. On Saturday afternoon, they had St. Louis singing the blues with a 6-3 win in front of a packed crowd at the Wells Fargo Center.
Claude Giroux continued his dominance with yet another three-point game, putting himself in the top two in NHL scoring this season. Sean Couturier eclipsed his career high in points, finishing the game at a season total of 40, which is now a new career high. Tyrell Goulbourne made his NHL debut and made an impact from the first moment he stepped on the ice.
Following the big win, we talked about a ton of topics, including Goulbourne’s energy, Giroux’s resurgence this season, and broke down every goal from Saturday’s win.
The SOP Radio crew of Ryan Gilbert, Tom Foti and David Cattai give their instant reaction to the Flyers’ win against the Blues, celebrate Claude Giroux’s bounceback year, Sean Couturier’s breakout campaign, recap the first half of the season and much more.
