The Philadelphia Flyers were blessed with the clutch play of Nolan Patrick on Saturday afternoon. Heading into the third period, Patrick was dominating the entire game and got rewarded on the final faceoff of regulation.
On the ensuing faceoff, Patrick and Travis Konecny clogged the lane and drove the net. Patrick found a loose puck in front and put home the tying goal with just 2.6 seconds left in the game, sending the game to overtime and salvaging the Flyers a point. Sean Couturier recorded his 27th goal of the season. Michal Neuvirth relieved Alex Lyon of his duties after two periods of play.
