The Philadelphia Flyers had seven pending restricted free agents this offseason, and they have made qualifying offers to all of them.
I would assume that six of the seven will be back with the Flyers organization next season, with the lone exception being the Russian Lyubimov. He didn’t get as much playing time as he had hoped for and it wouldn’t surprise me if he returned to Russia.
Laughton and Vecchione will fight for roster spots with the Flyers come training camp, and Leier isn’t too far behind them. Bardreau and Lyon are likely to remain with the Phantoms while Stolarz could become the Flyers backup goalie, or once again split time with Lyon in the AHL.
Players can either accept the one-year qualifying offers based off last year’s salary, or reject and remain a restricted free agent.
