The Philadelphia Flyers were finally back on the ice after a four-day layoff. There was fear that the Orange and Black would be hindered a bit by having time off, but that wasn’t the case. Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, and Sean Couturier combined for seven points. All three forwards recorded a goal and guided the team past Chicago. They’ve been one of the best lines in the NHL this season and haven’t skipped a beat.
Brian Elliott recorded a season high in saves after slotting in for Michal Neuvirth, who has been battling being sick all week. Radko Gudas returned to the lineup after being sidelines with an upper-body injury and he even debuted a beautiful mustache.
