Hockey season is upon us.
The Philadelphia Flyers are close to beginning their preseason action with training camp approaching. On Tuesday, they announced their broadcast and television schedules for the year.
From the official press release:
The Flyers will have 72 of their games televised locally in the Philadelphia market this season. Of those games, 62 will air on CSN Philadelphia, with the remaining 10 airing on The Comcast Network.
**Also a note, CSN Philadelphia and TCN will be rebranded to NBC Sports Philadelphia and NBC Sports Philadelphia+ on October 2.
97.5 The Fanatic will again serve as the Flyers’ radio flagship, and will carry 56 regular season games. On 26 regular-season occasions where the Flyers play on the same night as the Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers games will be heard on 93.3 WMMR. The split-squad game in Allentown vs. the New York Islanders on September 20 will be carried on 97.5 The Fanatic; broadcast plans for the other half of the evening from Brooklyn are still to be determined.
The Flyers will have 10 national televised games this season as well, including four on NBC and six on NBCSN. There you have it, the boys will be hitting the ice very soon. It’s only a matter of time before they touch the Wells Fargo Center ice.
