Congrats to Philadelphia Flyers’ Captain Claude Giroux for being named the team’s representative for the 2019 NHL All-Star Weekend.
Giroux currently leads the Flyers in points this season (44) with 13 goals and 31 assists. He’s been the most-productive player on a team that has struggled mightily this season.
In addition to Giroux being named an All-Star, Jake Voracek was named the Flyers’ representative in the new ‘Last Men In’ category.
From the press release:
The 2019 NHL All-Star Last Men In presented by adidas will allow fans to select four players from a list of 31 All-Star caliber players – one from each NHL team (determined by the League’s Hockey Operations Department). The highest vote-getters by division then will be added to their respective All-Star rosters. Jake Voracek is the eligible candidate from the Flyers. Voting for the Last Men In opens Thursday, Jan. 3 and closes Thursday, Jan. 10.
Congrats to Giroux and best of luck to Voracek!
