Brian Elliott is on the ice with the Philadelphia Flyers as they prepare for the beginning of training camp this week. More importantly, it’s the first time we’re seeing Elliott in Flyers’ get up this season.
Elliott showed off his new pads and mask at the Skate Zone next to Michal Neuvirth, who is his tandem partner this season. His mask, however, looked like it had some great potential when you zoomed into the photo.

Here’s another look at the sides of Elliott’s mask (via @dflanns on Twitter).
Elliott was a goaltender growing up in the 1990s, so it’s not surprising that he was a big fan of Hexy growing up. When asked earlier this offseason about which aspect of Hextall’s game he liked the most, Elliott revealed that he is a true Philadelphian at heart.
“All of the above, you know I still remember the Felix Potvin fight and that’s right when I changed into being a goalie fulltime and those are the things that stick in your mind.”
Elliott is going to be looking sharp on the ice, let’s hope the ‘look good, feel good, play good’ saying works its magic this season.
